The Flipper Chair was designed following the brief “Table, Light, Chair” set by the design collective Glass Box, of which Ian Lambert is a founding member.
Experiments were made with several types of adaptable furniture, using full scale card models and test rigs.
The final design was made by Ian Lambert, using aircraft ply moulded around an armature.
Glass box took a collection of work down to London Design Week in 2005 showing in Designers Block at the Nicholls & Clark Building.
